REQUIRMENTS
Multi-disciplinary Reinsurance expertise with focus on one critical domain: Origination or Underwriting
Good technical and functional Business Analyst skills are needed, Data Analyst skills are beneficial: o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) o Proficient in MS Office o Basic statistic skills o Proficiency in project and program management technics (including Agile / Scrum) o Strong data visualization skills o Experienced with IT developments and the specific project management method o Proven advanced usage of Power BI is a distinct advantage o Knowledge of SQL and of programming knowledge (in Python or R) are beneficial but not a must o Experience with the roll out of Data Analytics platforms is an advantage o Understanding of the existing Swiss Re Cockpit solution is beneficial

About the team
"Generate leading insights to manage, steer and anticipate our business" is our Analytics team's vision. Analytics Team is a new team in the Reinsurance Centre Strategy and Operations and it is accountable for development and maintenance of the Property & Casualty (P&C) Offering Analytics landscape. We support growth of Client Markets and Underwriting globally, by generating meaningful business insights. Primarily, the team answers urgent information needs by providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis. It also develops and maintains existing Analytics applications. Secondly, team will participate to the creation of reporting and KPIs standards and will create new generation of Analytics tools for P&C Offering. The team is regularly interacting with senior key stakeholders and acts as interface between the business and IT partners.
About the role This role is preferably based in Bangalore where other P&C Analytics roles are already located. The role holder will report to the Reinsurance Analytics Manager. Together with the P&C Analytics team, he/she will answer business reporting requests, will take ownership for a specific module of the Reinsurance cockpit and will design and develop new generation of Analytics applications. The Analytics specialists will also participate to projects from definition to completion and jointly with IT partners they ensure the maintenance and the evolution of the analytics platform.
Initial key tasks: - Sustain the service provided by Reinsurance Cockpit and several other applications. Transition the Reinsurance cockpit application from project into business as usual - Participate to development of new Analytics solution based on the Power BI application and provide the next generation of Analytics - Help to improve Operational Excellence via the usage of Analytics / Data front
